Moisture is the enemy of steady tone and reliable reeds. The BandSpec Next Generation WaterTrap uses an oven regenerable silica gel canister that can be dried as a complete unit.
Includes 2 Canisters
Supplied as a 2 canister set so you can rotate canisters and keep playing while the other regenerates.
Heat Resistant Canisters
The canisters are made from High Temperature PLA (polylactide) with heat resistant magnets. You can put the complete canister straight into the oven at 80 to 100°C. No need to empty the silica gel out.
No Blowing Resistance
Engineered for free airflow with no perceptible back pressure and no change in response.
Balanced Moisture Control
Helps reduce excess moisture reaching chanter and drone reeds while still allowing enough humidity to support cane chanter reeds.
Integrated Reservoir
An internal reservoir captures initial condensed moisture before air passes through the drying canister, helping stabilise performance from the start.
Quick Access
Remove the canister for routine regeneration, or remove the housing with a simple quarter turn to drain the reservoir when needed.
